Colnago Pista track bike Campagnolo Record Zipp velo 51cm Master
Colnago track bike, purchased plenty of years ago from the original owner as a “barn find”.
The original owner purchased the bike in the early/mid-90s and raced at the Brian Piccolo Park velodrome in Hollywood, Florida for a couple of years. The bike was once retired in the mid-late ‘90s and has been a wall flower ever since.
Seattube C-C: 49cm
Toptube C-C: 52cm
Seatpost C-T: 51cm
This is a classic pista race bike, with short wheelbase, minimal tire/wheel clearance, no brake drillings. Traditional lugged Colnago frame, with Columbus Brain tubing.
Components are mostly Campagnolo C-Record Pista. I imagine that the front hub could also be a very rare “Sheriff” model. Seatpost looks to be a Campy Record Titanium.
The seat is a later Colnago branded seat, probably not be correct for the period (or for track racing). Front rim is Campagnolo, with WheelSmith spokes. I imagine that they’re butted. The rear wheel is a Zipp disk wheel. Tires are track tubulars.
Cinelli Pista bars & stem.
No pedals are included in this auction.
If you’re intending to ride/race this bike, it is very important glue up a fresh pair of tires…these may have been last mounted over 20 years ago. The track train is rusty and also will wish to be replaced.
This bike cannot be set up with brakes…there’s no protected way to drill either the front fork crown or rear bridge. Track use only!

I am an experienced Ebay Seller with more than 1,200 positive feedback entries during the last seventeen years. That’s an average of one positive entry each and every five days!
Selling on eBay isn’t my business. I buy and sell stuff for my personal use, all the time things that interest me and that I use. I treat buyers as I expect sellers to treat me, and I’ve met some great people along the way. I sold a Range Rover (’95 County LWB) on eBay a couple of years ago and in my opinion delivered it to the buyer, a famous media personality, in NYC. I’ve bought and sold several bike shops worth of bikes and parts, and various electronics items.
Here are a couple of quotes from some contemporary buyers:
“Great Seller…Super fast and Reliable. Item as promised.”
Help me keep up this excellent record…lets have a great transaction and leave one another positive feedback!
Please contact me within 3 days of auction close to confirm payment or pickup. I ship within 3-5 days of payment receipt.
