Colnago C50, Size 55, Campagnolo Record **Titanium** 10-Speed, ENVE Wheels Optional
It’s time to sell my beautiful C50. Living in NYC I just shouldn’t have the space for more than one bikes. I am the original owner (it is a 2006 model). I have well over $10,000 into this bike through the years. The bike is outfitted with an OPTIONAL set of ENVE 25 Classic Carbon Road Wheels (Clincher) which have been $2,600 (obviously a latest upgrade). The listed price does NOT INCLUDE THE WHEELS. If you want these great wheels at a perfect price, add $1,000 (contact me).
In this year, Colnago incorporated a new weave construction that makes this C50 easily identifiable, and features re-worked paint that integrates the fork into the scheme and shows more of the raw frame material. The last photo used to be taken within the sunlight to show this amazing effect.
Overall this bike is in superb condition. There are normal scratches and nothing compromising, the one real notable one being a paint chip at the “O” at the left side (see photo). There may be wear in other normal areas, such as the underside of the front wheel well (fork). The bottom side and chain stays are better than normal. The stem has nicks and the Care for bar has normal wear and tear. I have regarded as upgrading the stem and Care for bar but left it as is for the reason that new owner will more than likely need to fine tune the precise. The seat is in superb to superb condition.
Mechanically, it is superb to outstanding. The Front Derailleur is virtually new (replaced last year), and the drive train is outstanding. The shift covers are also new.
This bike is a 55cm (550 x 543) Traditional (non-sloping) C50 frame. Charts are readily to be had on the web.
